Job Description Summary The Patient Placement Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of all hospital admission and accommodation activities; Administers the policies and operational procedures necessary for the coordination of expeditious, safe admission of patients; Provides clinical expertise and technical assistance to the professional and clerical staff with regard to eligibility requirements and bed availability; Assumes technical responsibility for hospital transfers, admissions, and accommodations; Serves as a liaison between admitting, nursing staff, physicians, and transferring hospitals to ensure proper placement.
