Job Description
Focus Physiotherapy is looking for a cheerful, advantageous Patient Coordinator. The Patient Coordinator plays a key role in maximizing provider schedules and clinic performance while maintaining a caring and professional atmosphere. As the steward of scheduling and payment systems, this role ensures each patient receives a welcoming, efficient, and accurate experience—aligned with our mission to serve through humility, integrity, and expertise.
Position requirements:
Ability to multitask, attention to detail, EXCELLENT customer service skills, strong communication skillsResponsibilities :
o Be the face of the company by creating a welcoming environment for all clients o Patient Scheduling o Manage intake documentation and enter into EMR o Patient Check In/Out efficiently o Prep charts for treatment session o Collect patient payments o Check to make sure the patient has follow-up appointments and schedule as needed o Communication with grace and empathy o Makes communication with patients the number one priority o Takes interest in the patients and makes opportunities to brighten their day o Answer phones and assist patients or physician offices as needed o Call any active patients that do not have future scheduled appointments to follow up to get them back on the therapist's schedule o New patient calls/referral management. o Identify charts requiring authorizations or re-evaluations for upcoming visits and pass to appropriate department o Check the faxes throughout the day and attach any medical records to the patient's account. o Finish/close the clinic for the day: Payments, Daily Task, Clinic Totals oMonthly Clinic Audits:
Self-audit of 10 random evaluations from the month to ensure they are completing patient cases and charts as they should be (demographics, insurance, authorizations, etc)Job Requirements :
- The Patient coordinator works 8 hour shifts, depending on clinic schedule. On average hours are 8-5:15 Mon-Thursday and 8-4 on Fridays. These hours may change depending on the schedule. Earliest availability required would be 6:45am.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in general computer skills
- Willingness to regularly communicate with teammates and hold others accountable in order to maintain efficient clinic flow Starting pay range: $16-$20 an hour
