Arizona Hearing & Balance Center is looking for two energetic, organized, customer-service-driven Front Desk Patient Coordinators to join our team. You do not necessarily need years of medical office experience to be successful in this role. Some of the skills that make someone exceptional in restaurants, serving, hospitality, hotels, retail, and other fast-paced customer-service environments translate extremely well to a busy medical front desk. If you know how to manage several people needing your attention, prioritize what needs to happen first, remember important details, work as part of a team, and remain friendly and composed when things get busy, we want to meet you. We can teach healthcare processes. We are looking for people who already bring great customer service, strong computer skills, good judgment, attention to detail, and an exceptional work ethic. What You'll Do Our front desk is the hub of the practice.
Responsibilities include:
Welcome and check in patients Provide an exceptional patient experience from arrival through checkout Answer and manage incoming phone calls Schedule and coordinate patient appointments Check patients out and collect payments Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information Assist with referrals and authorizations Communicate appointment instructions and information to patients Manage incoming patient messages and requests Enter and maintain accurate information in the electronic medical record Coordinate with physicians, Medical Assistants, audiology, and other team members Monitor schedules and help keep patient flow moving Manage multiple priorities throughout the day Cross-train in different areas of the front office so you can step in wherever needed Strong Computer Skills Are Required This is a technology-driven medical practice, and our front desk team works in multiple electronic systems throughout the day. Strong computer skills are required for this position.
You should be comfortable:
Typing and entering information accurately Navigating multiple computer screens and programs Learning new software quickly Working within electronic scheduling systems Using email and electronic communication Switching between computer tasks, phone calls, and patients without losing important details Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is highly preferred. Previous experience with another medical EMR or practice-management system is also valuable. Restaurant or Hospitality Experience? We Want to Hear From You.
