Insurance | Accounts Receivable | Practice Administration Support Full-Time | Gold Canyon, AZ | $26+/hour DOE Are you someone who loves the business side of dentistry—but doesn't necessarily want to manage a team? We're looking for an experienced Dental Practice Coordinator to join our 13+ person dental team and work closely alongside our Office Manager. This is a unique "behind-the-scenes" front office position for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, confident with dental insurance and accounts receivable, and genuinely enjoys figuring things out and getting things done. You'll play an important role in supporting the financial and administrative side of our practice, helping keep things running smoothly—from insurance verification and claims follow-up to A/R, account research, payment issues, and special projects. This is not a management position. You won't be responsible for supervising employees or managing the day-to-day team. Instead, we're looking for someone who can become a trusted administrative partner to our Office Manager and take ownership of many of the details that keep a successful dental practice moving forward. What You'll Do Manage dental insurance verification and benefit breakdowns Submit and follow up on insurance claims and pre-authorizations Assist in researching unpaid, delayed, denied, and underpaid claims Assist with insurance and patient A/R and aging reports Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding account questions Help maintain accurate insurance plans, fee schedules, and patient information Identify outstanding issues and follow them through to resolution Assist our Office Manager with reports, administrative projects, and practice systems Jump in and support the front office team when needed Who We'd Love to Find We're looking for someone with strong dental front office experience who already understands dental insurance and A/R and is ready for a position with a little more ownership. You might be a great fit if you're the person who notices when something doesn't look right on an account—and can't help but figure out why. You're comfortable picking up the phone and calling an insurance company. You know how to work an aging report rather than simply print one. You follow through. You keep good notes. And when something lands on your desk, our team can trust that it won't quietly disappear into a pile. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team and takes pride in helping a practice run well. Qualifications Dental front office experience required Strong dental insurance and billing knowledge Experience working insurance and patient accounts receivable Familiarity with dental claims, EOBs, denials, appeals, and pre-authorizations Strong understanding of dental terminology and CDT codes Comfortable learning and working within Dentrix practice management software Excellent organization and attention to detail Strong communication and follow-through 3+ years of dental insurance/billing experience preferred. Previous dental office experience is required. Please note that candidates without dental experience will not be considered for this position. If you love keeping things organized, solving the insurance puzzles no one else wants to touch, and get a strange amount of satisfaction from a clean aging report, you might be our kind of person! We're a close-knit team that works hard, supports one another, and enjoys what we do. If this sounds like your kind of role, we'd love to meet you!
