Salus Sanctuary Scottsdale, AZ Part-Time | Contract About Salus Sanctuary Salus Sanctuary is a new outpatient behavioral health center in Scottsdale, Arizona, providing individualized care for adults experiencing mental health, substance use, and co-occurring concerns. As we prepare to open our doors, we are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Director / Lead Therapist to help establish and lead our clinical program while also providing direct patient care. This is a hands-on clinical leadership position designed for someone who enjoys working directly with clients and wants the opportunity to help shape a growing behavioral health practice. Position Overview The Clinical Director / Lead Therapist will provide clinical oversight for Salus Sanctuary's outpatient behavioral health services while maintaining an active clinical role. During our initial growth phase, this position will be part-time with hours based on patient census and program needs , with the opportunity for increased hours and responsibilities as the practice grows. Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and oversight of Salus Sanctuary's outpatient behavioral health services Provide direct clinical care, including individual and group therapy Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and support appropriate level-of-care determinations Develop, review, and oversee individualized treatment plans Facilitate Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) groups and other therapeutic programming Monitor client progress and coordinate changes in treatment when appropriate Review clinical documentation for quality, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance Provide clinical guidance and case consultation to members of the treatment team Collaborate with psychiatric providers and other healthcare professionals involved in client care Assist with development, implementation, and ongoing review of clinical policies, procedures, and workflows Support quality management, clinical compliance, and preparation for regulatory reviews Assist in developing and strengthening Salus Sanctuary's clinical programming as patient census and services expand Help establish a safe, ethical, compassionate, and patient-centered clinical culture
Qualifications Required:
Current, active Arizona license as an independently licensed behavioral health professional, such as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist Professional experience working in an outpatient behavioral health treatment setting Experience providing treatment to adults with mental health and behavioral health concerns Experience conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, and maintaining high-quality clinical documentation Experience providing individual and/or group therapy Strong understanding of behavioral health ethics, confidentiality, documentation, and clinical standards Comfortable providing both clinical leadership and direct patient care Ability to work collaboratively in a growing outpatient treatment environment Ability to work on-site in
Scottsdale, Arizona Strongly Preferred:
Experience working in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), or other structured outpatient behavioral health program Experience treating substance use disorders, addiction, and co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions Experience with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, stress-related conditions, and other behavioral health concerns Experience facilitating process groups, psychoeducational groups, or other structured therapeutic groups Previous experience as a Clinical Director, Clinical Supervisor, Lead Therapist, or similar clinical leadership role Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team Familiarity with Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) behavioral health requirements Experience with clinical quality assurance, chart review, compliance, or program development Experience helping develop, launch, or grow an outpatient behavioral health program is a plus What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who understands the day-to-day realities of an outpatient behavioral health program and is comfortable being hands-on during our initial growth phase. Pay:
