Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Administrator to lead the daily operations and strategic management of our new outpatient surgical facility. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in surgery center or surgical practice leadership, with working knowledge of clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and financial management. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can build and support a high-performing team, ensure excellent patient care, and drive operational excellence as we open and grow the center. Responsibilities Oversee the overall operations of the surgery center, including clinical services, administrative functions, and support staff. Manage financial operations such as budgeting, financial reporting, revenue cycle, payer relations, and cost control to ensure the center's financial health. Lead and develop clinical and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing culture. Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and accreditation standards. Support licensure, Medicare certification, and survey readiness, maintaining required compliance logs and documentation. Oversee ASC management systems to streamline scheduling, documentation, and workflow efficiency. Coordinate with physicians, surgeons, and clinical staff to optimize scheduling, patient flow, and resource allocation. Oversee quality assurance, infection control, and patient safety programs to uphold the highest standards of care. Develop and maintain policies and procedures across administrative and clinical support functions. Qualifications Proven experience in healthcare administration, ideally within an ambulatory surgery center or surgical practice. Demonstrated leadership managing multidisciplinary clinical and administrative teams. Working knowledge of ASC regulatory and accreditation standards and California-specific requirements. Solid grasp of financial management, including budgeting, revenue cycle, and payer/managed care fundamentals. Proficiency with ASC management/scheduling software. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience supporting a new or growing facility is a plus.
