The responsibilities of the Supervisor are many and they include managing multiple locations, training and supervising employees, assisting with time sensitive client matters, project management, strategic thinking, monitoring their department's compliance within operational policies, and keeping up-to-date with the progress of intradepartmental tasks and timelines. To be successful in this role, you should have prior success as a Shift Lead of House Manager and be result-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ultimately, a top-notch Supervisor has excellent leadership, project management, administrative skills, and can help bring unity & cohesion to the team as we grow. The new Supervisor should be looking to take a step up and forwards in their career. This new leader will be tasked to work with other more senior managers, most specifically The Clinical Director, as their two departments working in perfect harmony help ensure successful outcomes for both clients & staff. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations across multiple licensed residential mental healthcare facilities. This individual will all three dayparts in terms of staffing, the Culinary Team, and support multiple departments, ensuring seamless service delivery, regulatory compliance, and a consistent client experience. The ideal candidate is solutions-oriented, deeply familiar with California licensing bodies, and passionate about driving operational excellence in a growing organization. This is a pivotal role and will be a new one meant to offer our staff & clients more support. Our new supervisor will help boost our customer service, and help staff feel more supported and clients feel more heard, the new candidate should lead this effort, anticipate challenges, and create systems to ensure a smooth launch.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee Daily Operations of multiple residential healthcare facilities, ensuring smooth coordination between departments and consistent delivery of services. Supervise and Mentor , providing ongoing support, development, and accountability. Lead the Culinary Team , including oversight of all chefs, menu planning, food safety compliance, dietary accommodations, and purchasing. Ensure Full Licensing Compliance with regulations from the Department of Social Services (DSS) , Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) , and Joint Commission (JCAHO) . Coordinate Closely with Clinical Leadership , especially the Clinical Director, to ensure operational systems support therapeutic programming and client care. Develop and Refine Standard Operating Procedures across all departments to promote consistency, efficiency, and excellence. Maintain Vendor Relationships and Manage Procurement of food, supplies, and facility needs in line with budgetary expectations. Prepare Facilities for Inspections , audits, and renewals, including compliance with fire safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures. Be the Operational Point Person for all new facility openings, helping to mitigate growing pains and ensure a successful launch. Model a Warm, Hospitable, and Professional Presence with clients and families while maintaining high standards and expectations with staff. Support and Enforce HR Policies , assist with scheduling, conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and hiring for operations-related roles. Monitor Facilities' Physical Conditions , initiating repairs and maintenance in a timely, budget-conscious manner. Ensure Adequate Staffing Levels are maintained across shifts and facilities to ensure safe and effective operations. Foster a Culture of Accountability and Support , balancing firm leadership with team-building and morale-boosting efforts. Serve as a Central Communication Hub , bridging information across departments, leadership, and staff to promote clarity and alignment. Track and Report Key Operational Metrics to executive leadership, identifying trends, risks, and areas for improvement. Lead with Grace Under Pressure , especially during crises, urgent staffing needs, or regulatory challenges.

Position Requirements:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare or hospitality management role. At least 2 years in a Director-level or junior management role , preferably in a residential or behavioral healthcare setting . Prior experience operating short-term, licensed residential facilities in Southern California is strongly preferred. Deep knowledge of licensing requirements under DSS, DHCS, and JCAHO ; experience preparing for and passing audits/inspections is essential. Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams , including operations staff, culinary professionals, and vendors. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills—warm, professional, and effective with clients, firm and decisive with staff. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead facility openings, expansions, or transitions . Detail-oriented with a systems mindset—capable of spotting inefficiencies and proactively solving problems. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting needs and emerging opportunities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Technologically competent (Google Workspace, EMRs, task management software, etc.). Ability to balance client-centered service with financial discipline . Flexible, adaptable, and willing to be hands-on when needed. Experience managing food service or hospitality components of a business is a major plus. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or professional certification in Healthcare Administration, Hospitality, or Business preferred. Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation (multi-site travel required). Must be able to pass a Live Scan background check.
