Job Description

Part-Time | Wednesday-Friday + Some Saturdays We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable New Patient Coordinator / Receptionist to join our medical office team. This position will work closely with our existing New Patient Coordinator to provide additional support with new patient referrals, scheduling, patient communication, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable speaking with patients by phone, and able to stay organized in a fast-paced medical office. Saturday shifts will primarily involve Receptionist/Scheduler responsibilities. Responsibilities Wednesday-Friday - New Patient Support Assist with new patient referrals and scheduling. Contact new patients by phone and provide excellent customer service. Collect and verify demographic and insurance information. Review referral and medical documentation for completeness. Assist with obtaining necessary records and authorizations. Document patient information and interactions accurately in the EMR. Assist with follow-up calls and scheduling. Help keep new patient referrals organized and up to date. Assist with general administrative duties as needed. Saturday - Receptionist Greet and check in patients. Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions. Schedule and reschedule appointments. Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information. Assist with check-out and collect copayments when applicable. Communicate with clinical staff regarding scheduling needs. Maintain a welcoming and organized front desk. Qualifications Previous medical office, receptionist, scheduling, or patient coordination experience preferred. Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy office. Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR/EHR systems preferred. Knowledge of insurance and authorization processes is a plus. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly valued. Specialty medical office experience is a plus but not required. Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and willing to work occasional Saturdays. Pay:
$16.90 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 28.0 per week
