POSITION SUMMARY
It is the responsibility of the Materials Manager to ensure that Soar Surgery Center retains a smooth, working flow of shipping and receiving to and from the facility. The Materials Manager will maintain relationships with vendors to ensure that products are received in a timely manner and with competitive pricing. General office maintenance and upkeep will be kept by the Materials Manager including basic troubleshooting and monitoring for IT requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure smooth functioning of equipment (computers, printers, copiers, phones), including basic troubleshooting and monitoring for IT requirements. Back-up of FileMaker files to ensure that the system can always be restored to original state. Manage office vendor relationships, cost analysis and negotiations for various office services. Liaison with building management to ensure smooth facility operations including scheduling repairs, proper cleaning and maintenance. Assist with preparation of reports, correspondence, and proposals by typing notes, formatting and proofreading. Contact collectors to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data from statements and invoices received. Prepare and sort documents, identify and interpret data to be entered. 8. Keep track of received data and source documents; compiles, sorts and verifies accuracy of data entered. Working with vendor(s) to produce business cards, company stationary, envelopes, folders, catalogs, websites and sales literature. Shipping, receiving, and associated data entry. Constant audit of what has or has not been received. Phone vendors on a daily basis to guarantee that items are received in a timely manner. Ordering supplies through the creation of purchase orders which are then faxed to the appropriate vendor. Maintain files for all warranties pertaining to surgical instrumentation and equipment. Work with affiliated facilities' Materials Departments to secure that any equipment, instrumentation or supplies needed for the center are sent and received Helps turnover rooms Helps set up equipment On top of doing all the research and pricing for the facility
Qualifications :
Age 17 or older, high school graduate preferred. BCLS certification required. Reflects maturity and confidence in communication skills. Dependable adherence to work schedule. Medical-related work experience preferred.
Physical Requirements :
Able to lift 20 pounds (instrumentation and supplies). Negative Mantoux annually or chest X-ray every two years (will be provided at no cost to the employee). Hepatitis immunization (will be provided at no cost to the employee) or documented refusal to be vaccinated. Able to assist in the transfer of patients with appropriate number of personnel and/or devices.
