About Our Company Evexia Health Services is an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) that specializes in treating individuals with opioid use disorder. We utilize a combination of counseling services and medication assisted treatment options, like methadone and buprenorphine (suboxone/subutex), in an outpatient setting to treat our patients. Our treatment philosophy is based on the understanding that addiction is a chronic disease, not a moral failing. Individuals suffering from opioid use disorder need and deserve evidence-based treatment in an environment where patients feel welcome, comfortable, and, most importantly, respected. Since no two people are the same, we center our program around collaborative treatment plans that meet the patients where they are in their recovery journey and address individual needs. Assistant Program Director Job Description The Assistant Program Director supports the Program Director in the overall management of the Opioid Treatment Program(OTP). This leadership role includes oversight of clinical operations, counseling staff, nursing staff, facility management, administrative process, and insurance/patient payments. The Assistant Program Director plays a critical role in maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting quality patient care, and ensuring the smooth daily functioning of the program.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the Program Director in managing daily operations, program goals, staff coordination, and regulatory compliance. Directly supervise and support nursing staff to ensure safe, effective, and compliant medication services and patient care. Oversee all nursing operations, including dosing, medication storage, and clinical documentation, in accordance with state and federal regulations. Directly supervise and support Clinical Supervisor in overseeing counseling staff to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and company policies and procedures. Ensure insurance requirements are met for patient admissions and throughout patients' treatment Monitor insurance-related processes, including verifications, authorizations, reauthorizations, and documentation needed for third-party payers. Identify and address issues related to denied claims or lapses in coverage to maintain uninterrupted services for patients. Assist with audits, inspections, and quality assurance efforts to maintain licensure and accreditation. Provide staff training and assist with staff evaluations and corrective action when needed. Act as Program Director in their absence.
Qualifications & Experience:
Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, documentation and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, problem-solve, meet deadlines and support interdisciplinary teams. Ability to analyze, evaluate, and recommend/implement workflow changes to improve the functioning of program Ability to assess and understand legal and regulatory requirements Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Demonstrate awareness and value of cultural competence Supervisory experience with knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to substance use disorder treatment preferred Strong understanding of MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) services and relevant regulatory requirements (DEA, DHCS, SAMHSA). Familiarity with Medi-Cal/Medicaid, managed care organizations (MCOs), and third-party payers. Experience with insurance billing, authorizations, and documentation requirements in a healthcare or behavioral health setting. .
Education:
Current CPR certification LVN license
Physical Requirements:
Stand or Sit:
Constantly sits in an office chair. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time.
Walk:
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, attend outside meetings, etc. Use of hands & fingers: Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a copy machine and printers. Repetitive movements of hand and fingers for typing and writing.
Talk or Hear:
Constantly communicates with patients and staff. Must be able to express oneself and exchange accurate information in these situations.
See:
Must be able to visually identify, observe and assess.
Reaching or Lifting:
Seldom reaching for or lifting of items in storage locations, such as copying paper, files, office supplies, etc.
Neck Motion:
Frequent movement while performing all duties as described above.
