Job Description

Optometric Practice is seeking a professional, friendly, and experienced Front Office / Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at a busy two-doctor optometry practice in Costa Mesa. We are looking for someone who understands that the patient experience starts the moment a patient walks through the door. The ideal candidate is warm, polished, organized, confident, and has a genuine passion for providing exceptional concierge, white-glove customer service. Experience assisting in optical is strongly preferred, along with strong communication and sales skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide a warm, professional welcome to every patient
  • Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Verify patient information and insurance
  • Maintain an organized and professional reception area
  • Manage patient flow and communicate effectively with the clinical team
  • Assist with daily front-office operations and administrative tasks Patient Experience
  • Provide personalized, concierge-level service from check-in through check-out
  • Anticipate patient needs and proactively offer assistance
  • Create a welcoming, professional, and positive environment
  • Handle patient questions and concerns with confidence and professionalism
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Represent the practice with a polished and professional demeanor Optical Support
  • Assist patients with frame selection and optical needs
  • Provide knowledgeable and personalized frame recommendations
  • Educate patients on lens and frame options
  • Review insurance benefits and explain coverage appropriately
  • Assist with optical sales and dispensing when needed
  • Build strong relationships with patients and encourage return visits We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in optometry or optical preferred
  • Spanish-speaking is a plus Our goal is to provide a Gold Standard, white-glove experience at every patient interaction.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
