Busy Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, confident, and highly organized Treatment & Insurance Coordinator to join our busy, fast-paced oral surgery and dental implant center. This position is responsible for treatment coordination, insurance verification and benefits, case presentation, scheduling, patient communication, and supporting an exceptional patient experience . We are looking for a strong, outgoing, and motivated individual who thrives in a high-volume environment, takes ownership of responsibilities, and provides the highest level of customer service to patients, referring doctors, providers, and internal team members. This position also offers a clear growth opportunity into a Treatment & Billing Coordinator role with expanded responsibilities and increased compensation. Key Responsibilities Treatment Coordination & Case Presentation Coordinate new and existing patients throughout their treatment journey Present treatment plans clearly, confidently, and professionally Explain recommended treatment, next steps, scheduling, financial expectations, and insurance benefits Coordinate oral surgery, dental implant, and comprehensive dental treatment Follow up consistently with patients regarding recommended or unscheduled treatment Schedule consultations, surgeries, procedures, and follow-up appointments Maintain accurate treatment plans and patient documentation Ensure patients remain informed and supported throughout their entire experience Work closely with providers and clinical team members to maintain efficient patient flow and treatment coordination Insurance Coordination Verify dental and medical insurance eligibility and benefits when applicable Obtain accurate and detailed breakdowns of benefits Review deductibles, annual maximums, limitations, frequencies, and applicable coverage Clearly communicate insurance benefits and estimates to patients Submit and track pre-authorizations and predeterminations Communicate with insurance carriers regarding benefits, eligibility, coverage, and authorization questions Maintain accurate and current insurance information in patient records Ensure insurance information is properly documented prior to treatment Patient Experience & Front Office Support Provide an outstanding level of customer service to every new and existing patient Build strong relationships with patients, referring doctors and their teams, providers, and internal team members Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients as needed Assist with reception and front-office responsibilities during busy periods Assist with patient check-in and check-out when needed Communicate professionally and promptly with referring offices Help coordinate referrals and ensure appropriate follow-through Respond to patient questions and concerns professionally Support the team where needed to maintain an efficient and positive patient experience Requirements Minimum 2+ years of dental treatment coordinator experience required Strong experience with dental insurance verification and benefits Experience presenting dental treatment plans and discussing financial expectations with patients Strong understanding of dental terminology and insurance processes Excellent communication and customer service skills Confident and comfortable discussing treatment and financial information Strong, outgoing, professional personality Highly organized and detail-oriented Excellent follow-through and accountability Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Must thrive in a very busy, fast-paced environment Dependable, proactive, and team-oriented Preferred Qualifications Experience presenting higher-value dental treatment All-on-X, full-arch, and dental implant case presentation experience strongly preferred Oral surgery or implant dentistry experience strongly preferred Experience with complex treatment planning Knowledge of CDT codes and dental insurance processes Bilingual in Russian or Spanish preferred Growth Opportunity — Treatment & Billing Coordinator This position offers a clear opportunity to advance into a Treatment & Billing Coordinator role.
