ABOUT YMCA EXPANDED LEARNING
We believe every student should have the opportunity to discover their purpose and reach their full potential. Our Expanded Learning programs partner with schools in West Contra Costa and Oakland to create engaging before- and afterschool experiences where young people can learn, play, create, build relationships, and develop as leaders. Our enrichment experiences center around three areas: Academic Achievement — helping students strengthen skills, confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning Physical Play — keeping students active while developing teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy habits Creative Curiosity — giving students opportunities to explore, create, experiment, and discover new interests Youth voice is at the center of how we approach our work.
