Job Summary :
The Clinic Manager is directly responsible for managing all administrative and operational functions associated with the Gravenstein Community Health Center site(s), functional areas(s), and/or programs. This includes ensuring smooth and efficient non-clinical and clinical operations, inventory control and supply chain management, personnel management, patient relations, patient access, and flow, and maintaining the facility. The Clinic Manager directly manages (8) front office staff members. This position will be located fully on-site at our Gravenstein Community Health Center in Sebastopol, California. Schedule is Monday-Friday, with occasional evenings and Saturday mornings required.Responsibilities:
Oversees the development and implementation of clinic goals and objectives; develops and implements new office procedures as necessary to improve office operations and meet profitability metrics. In conjunction with the site Medical Director, ensures that providers are scheduled appropriately, maintain compliance with licensure and regulatory requirements, meet patient care and satisfaction standards, and have the resources they need for safe and efficient care delivery. Assists senior leadership, working with physician/behavioral health leadership, to identify new lines of business, additional streams of revenue, and new methods to mitigate costs. Manages the daily operations, including maximizing staff and provider scheduling to meet patient access needs Works closely with the Billing Office to ensure A/R is optimally realized, denials are minimized, refunds are issued, and customer service is conducted. Manages human resources by interviewing, hiring, orienting, and evaluating staff, and ensuring optimal staffing at all times. In partnership with the site Medical Director and Operations Director, resolves all patient complaints and grievances and escalates issues, as necessary. Reviews the operational budget and expenditures to ensure that budgetary goals are met. Prepares monthly reports and clinical quality metric summaries. Assist with strategic planning and resource allocation. Works to ensure that the site is in regulatory compliance with agencies such as OSHA, CLIA, Medi Cal, DHS and others as appropriate.Skills & Experience:
3+ years of experience preferred in progressive and hands-on managerial experience, preferably in a medical setting Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare fiscal management preferred, and people management required. Ability to apply policies and principles to solve everyday problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move freely about the office and carry light loads (up to 20 pounds, pulling up to 50 pounds, lifting up to 15 pounds) Prolonged standing 40% and/or sitting 30% walking 30% required. Sufficient finger dexterity to work with office equipment.
