Job Description

We're looking for the right person to join our growing oral surgery team. Right now, our oral surgery schedule is primarily Fridays, with an additional weekday dedicated to preparing for upcoming surgery days, patient communication, scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and keeping everything organized behind the scenes. As our practice grows, we're working toward adding another surgery day and we'd love to find someone who wants to grow with the position. Dental or oral surgery experience is a plus, but it is not required. We're willing to train the right person. What You'll Do You'll be one of the people helping patients navigate their experience from their first phone call through treatment and follow-up.
Responsibilities may include:
Answering phones and communicating with patients Scheduling consultations and surgical appointments Coordinating referrals from outside dental offices Collecting and confirming patient information Helping verify insurance benefits and eligibility Preparing paperwork and schedules for upcoming surgery days Communicating appointment and pre-operative information Collecting patient payments Following up with patients and referring offices Helping keep patient records and office systems organized Communicating with the doctor and clinical team throughout the day Helping solve the little things that inevitably come up in a busy dental office You won't be expected to know everything on day one. You will be expected to ask questions, learn, communicate, and take ownership of your role. Who We're Looking For We're much more interested in finding the right person than finding the perfect résumé. We're looking for someone who is: Dependable and punctual Friendly and comfortable talking with patients Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable using computers and learning new systems Willing to ask questions Able to take feedback and apply it Proactive rather than waiting to be told every next step Calm when things get busy Compassionate with nervous patients Comfortable communicating with doctors, patients, insurance companies, and other dental offices Interested in learning and growing with the practice Previous dental, medical, insurance, scheduling, customer-service, or administrative experience is helpful, but not required for the right candidate. What We're Building We're building an oral surgery team where people communicate, help each other, take pride in their work, and understand that every interaction contributes to the patient's experience. This isn't a position where we expect you to already know everything. We're looking for someone who wants to learn the specialty, become confident in their role, contribute to the team, and grow as we grow.
