The Rehab Team Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of rehabilitation services within home care, ensuring high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and staff development. This role partners with the Director of Rehab to support strategic planning, budget management, quality improvement initiatives, and department performance. Responsibilities include supervising and evaluating rehabilitation staff, overseeing recruitment and scheduling, managing productivity and visit utilization, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, participating in home visits and clinical oversight, supporting employee development, and serving as a liaison between staff, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams. This position may also provide direct patient care as needed within the individual's licensed discipline. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program required. Current Connecticut licensure as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience required. Strong understanding of rehabilitation operations, healthcare regulations, and compliance standards. Experience with budgeting, operational management, productivity monitoring, and performance improvement initiatives. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical record systems. Demonstrated leadership, team development, communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement skills. Ability to analyze financial and operational metrics to drive performance and quality outcomes. Commitment to creating a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on patient care, safety, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology. Five years of management experience in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting.
