Boynton Beach, FL Confidential Opportunity A rapidly growing outpatient behavioral health organization is seeking an experienced Clinical Director to lead and oversee its expanding mental health services. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring clinical excellence, supporting and developing staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, and helping drive the continued growth of the organization. We are looking for a collaborative, forward-thinking leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional client care, mentoring clinicians, and building strong clinical systems. Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight of all outpatient mental health clinical services. Supervise, mentor, and support licensed clinicians and registered interns. Ensure high standards of clinical documentation, treatment planning, and patient care. Monitor quality assurance initiatives, clinical outcomes, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development of clinical staff. Review documentation for quality, accuracy, timeliness, and medical necessity. Support utilization review and insurance authorization processes as needed. Ensure compliance with Florida regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies. Collaborate with psychiatry, medical providers, operations, and executive leadership to support program success. Participate in program development, implementation of evidence-based practices, and strategic planning. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Required (one or more of the following) Active, unrestricted Florida license as one of the following: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
In addition to:
Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in behavioral health. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience. Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnosis, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and clinical documentation. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Florida Qualified Supervisor designation. Experience supervising registered interns. Experience with Joint Commission, CARF, or similar accreditation standards. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Knowledge of insurance documentation, utilization review, and quality assurance processes. Experience developing or expanding outpatient behavioral health programs.
