What You'll Be Doing The Milieu Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and maintaining a safe, therapeutic residential environment for adults with chronic mental illness. This role ensures the daily structure of the milieu supports individualized treatment goals, promotes skill development and community integration, and adheres to clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. The Milieu Coordinator serves as a bridge between direct care staff, clinical teams and program leadership. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, human services, or a related field required. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience working with adults with chronic mental illness in a residential, inpatient, or community-based setting. Strong understanding of serious and persistent mental illness and psychosocial rehabilitation. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain professionalism, boundaries, and composure in high-stress situations. Ability to work in a residential treatment environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Certification in CPR and First Aid as well as required
HIV/AIDS
training within 90 days of employment. Ability to stand or walk during most of the 8 hour shift and a minimum lifting capacity of 30 pounds to lift/carry/move items. Must possess a valid Florida driver's license that meets insurance carrier requirements. Completion of all pre-employment requirements to include TB testing, Drug screen, ACHA Level II Background check (https://info.flclearinghouse.com/), and favorable references/screenings.
