Position Summary As the Assistant Director - Minor League Medical, you will support the Director of Medical Operations in overseeing all aspects of player health, including injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation programs. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals, coordinating with team physicians, and assisting in the development of strategies to optimize player performance and well-being. An interprofessional collaborative spirit, effective multidiscipline communication, relationship building through a foundation of trust, integrity, and a player-centered approach to healthcare are essential for success in this position. Essential Functions Assist in the development and implementation of medical policies, procedures, and injury management protocols. Support the medical staff, including team physicians, athletic trainers, and rehabilitation specialists. Oversight of the Minor League Healthcare System Ensure compliance with MLB health and safety regulations. Collaborate with front office executives and coaching staff on player health decisions. Maintain accurate medical records and participate in medical research initiatives. Serve as a liaison between players, medical staff, and team management regarding health-related concerns.
