At least one year of behavioral health or substance use treatment admissions experience preferred Position Overview Renaissance Recovery is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Admissions Coordinator to guide prospective clients and their families through the admissions and intake process. As an initial point of contact, the Admissions Coordinator responds to inquiries, completes pre-admission screenings, verifies insurance benefits, coordinates pre-authorizations, maintains accurate documentation, and helps clients transition smoothly into treatment. The ideal candidate has direct admissions experience within a substance use disorder, addiction treatment, or mental health program and understands how to communicate with compassion, professionalism, and urgency. Experience using Kipu EMR and Zoho CRM is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Respond promptly and professionally to admissions calls, online inquiries, and prospective client referrals Build rapport with prospective clients and families while providing clear information about the admissions process Conduct pre-admission screenings and gather required demographic, clinical, insurance, and financial information Verify insurance benefits and communicate coverage information accurately Coordinate insurance pre-authorizations and other admission requirements Enter and maintain accurate client information in Kipu EMR, Zoho CRM, and related systems Prepare, organize, and manage admission documentation Coordinate with clinical, medical, admissions, and administrative team members to support appropriate placement Escalate clinical concerns, safety issues, or barriers to admission to the appropriate team member Follow up with prospective clients, families, referral sources, and other stakeholders throughout the admissions process Help create a welcoming and organized onboarding experience that supports client engagement and retention Protect client confidentiality and maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies Complete additional admissions-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED At least one year of admissions or intake experience within a substance use disorder, addiction treatment, or behavioral health setting Experience handling intake calls and gathering sensitive client information Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organization, documentation, and follow-up abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinical and administrative teams Comfortable learning and using electronic medical record and customer relationship management systems Ability to work the Tuesday-Saturday, 2:00 p.m
