Patient Care Coordinator Arguello Dentistry Margate, FL Job Details Full-time $18 - $24 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Employee discount Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Spanish Teamwork Interpersonal skills Dental receptionist English Attention to detail Full Job Description Arguello Dentistry is looking for an experienced dental front office professional who understands that the front desk plays an important role in the clinical, financial, and overall patient experience of a dental practice. We are looking for someone who is organized, accountable, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player. This is more than a receptionist position. We need someone who understands dental scheduling, insurance, treatment coordination, follow-up, and how to build a productive schedule, not simply a full one. Responsibilities Manage and optimize the daily dental schedule Understand appointment lengths, provider time, production opportunities, and schedule flow Answer phones, texts, and patient inquiries professionally Verify dental insurance benefits and explain patient financial responsibility Collect payments and confidently discuss financial options Present and coordinate treatment plans with patients Follow up consistently on unscheduled treatment, recalls, and reactivation Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Prepare for and actively participate in the daily morning huddle Communicate closely with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and the entire team Work collaboratively to keep the office running efficiently throughout the day Identify schedule openings and take initiative to fill them appropriately Help with opening and closing the office, including completing assigned opening and end-of-day responsibilities Maintain an organized, clean, and prepared front office Complete assigned daily front-office tasks and follow through without constant supervision Support teammates when needed and understand that everyone contributes to the success of the practice Provide excellent patient service while maintaining office standards Take ownership of responsibilities and communicate promptly when an issue needs attention What We're Looking For Previous dental front office experience is required Strong dental scheduling experience Solid understanding of dental insurance and patient portions Comfortable presenting treatment plans and discussing finances Experience with recalls, reactivation, and unscheduled treatment follow-up Understands the difference between a full schedule and a productive schedule Strong attention to detail and follow-through Dependable, punctual, and accountable Professional, friendly, and confident with patients Able to prioritize and problem-solve in a busy environment Strong team mentality and willingness to help wherever needed Able to take initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done Comfortable with opening and closing responsibilities Comfortable traveling between our Margate and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea locations Bilingual English/Spanish required Experience with Open Dental or another dental practice management system is strongly preferred. The Right Person You understand that a successful dental office requires teamwork. The front desk, clinical team, and doctors must communicate and work together throughout the day. You arrive prepared for the morning huddle, understand what is happening on the schedule, follow through on outstanding tasks, and look ahead to what needs to happen next. You are willing to help with opening and closing responsibilities, support your teammates, and complete your assigned tasks without being repeatedly reminded. You understand that good front-office performance is about more than answering phones and filling appointments. Preparation, follow-up, communication, scheduling strategy, teamwork, and accountability matter.
