This is a patient-facing role focused on providing an exceptional experience from the moment a prescription is received through successful delivery to the patient. The Patient Care Coordinator will serve as an important connection between our patients, caregivers, prescribers, and pharmacy team , making sure every patient feels welcomed, informed, and taken care of throughout the prescription process. Key Responsibilities Contact patients regarding new and refill prescriptions Collect patient copays and securely process payments Coordinate and schedule prescription deliveries and shipments Confirm patient demographics, delivery information, and other required information Communicate with physician offices regarding prescriptions, patient information, and prescription-related needs Communicate professionally with family members and caregivers when appropriate Follow up with patients to help prevent delays in therapy Provide patients with updates regarding the status of their prescriptions Help resolve routine patient concerns and escalate clinical or insurance-related questions to the appropriate pharmacy team member Maintain accurate documentation of patient communications and activities Work closely with pharmacists, technicians, billing, fulfillment, and delivery teams Assist with general pharmacy administrative and operational tasks as needed Help maintain a clean, organized, efficient, and welcoming pharmacy environment Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and pharmacy policies at all times What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is warm, personable, dependable, organized, and comfortable speaking on the phone throughout the day . This person should genuinely enjoy helping people and take ownership of making sure patients receive excellent service. Strong candidates will have excellent communication and customer-service skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, basic computer proficiency, and a team-first attitude. Previous experience in a pharmacy, medical office, healthcare call center, patient services, or customer service environment is preferred but not necessarily required. Bilingual English/Spanish is required. What Success Looks Like A successful Patient Care Coordinator ensures that patients don't feel like they're simply receiving a prescription from a pharmacy.
