Description While this is not a back-breaking floor nurse position, it is also not a cushy desk job. Read this before you apply. Latitude Pediatric & Family Clinic is a cash fee-for-service primary care practice for children and adults, with offices in Port Charlotte and Sarasota. We are hiring a Florida LPN to build a new manager role: Nurse Patient Care Coordinator and Clinic Operations. The role is being written while you are in it. We are also putting in a new electronic medical record in the near future. The processes will change, more than once. The day is phones, texts, triage, schedule, staff, and follow-up, often in the same hour. If you need a settled routine, a finished playbook, or one task at a time, this is the wrong job. If you prefer a checklist of tasks and the option to put your feet up when the check list is complete, then
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY!
What the day actually is: You are the primary person on phones and texts. Calls and messages do not wait while you finish something else. You triage pediatric, adult, and geriatric concerns by phone under a physician or nurse practitioner, inside Florida LPN scope. You teach the rest of the staff to cover phones to the same standard when you are on another line or out of the office. You fill the schedule. Lapsed patients, referral meetings, and vendor meetings are part of the job, not leftover time. Visits are how this clinic stays open. A good portion of your paycheck will be based on performance in this specific area. You keep every provider and staff member clear on which office they are in that day. The pattern will change as we build coverage across Port Charlotte and Sarasota. You and the owner share one compliance tracker. If it is not written there, it is not tracked. You keep it current. You help bring in the new EMR and the new workflows that come with it. Expect rework. Who should not apply You want a set clinical assignment and a predictable unit. Multitasking wears you out, or you shut down when the plan changes mid-morning. You need every policy finished before you will start. You are uncomfortable saying no, including on payment. This is a cash practice. You want a hospital nurse-manager salary. This is an LPN operations role. Pay is $55,000-$70,000, part of which is based on performance.
What you get back:
The work is heavy. The return is tremendous. Babies who break into the biggest smiles at the sight of your face, and kids who are bouncingly happy to be here. Parents who say thank you and mean it, because someone answered, listened, and did not rush them or brush them off. A small team. People cover each other. The aim is to lift the person next to you, not to win the day alone. A clinic small enough that you know the families. The same children comes back. You are among the first to meet the new little siblings as they are born. A manager role you help build, not a slot you fill. The EMR and the workflows will be partly yours. Who this is for Active Florida LPN license, with real phone-triage and management experience. You can be kind on the phone and still hold a boundary. The Golden Rule is part of the fabric of your being. You can train someone, hand them the task, and still stay responsible to ensure it got done. You can tolerate a role that is still being built, and an incoming EMR that is new to the clinic. You can work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, and move between Port Charlotte (2400 Harbor Blvd, Unit 18) and Sarasota (2831 Ringling Blvd, Suite F220) as the weekly plan requires.
How to apply:
