We're looking for a hands-on leader who can develop faculty, support students, strengthen retention and outcomes, and lead our Medical Assisting program. We are seeking an energetic, student-focused Medical Assistant Program Director to lead our Medical Assisting program. This is a full-time leadership and teaching position for an experienced Medical Assistant professional who is passionate about developing students, supporting faculty, and preparing future healthcare professionals for successful careers. The Medical Assistant Program Director serves as the academic and operational leader of the program , providing leadership in curriculum, instruction, faculty development, student engagement, retention, completion, certification preparation, and overall program outcomes. The Program Director also teaches within the program and works closely with campus leadership and other departments to create a supportive, accountable, and student-centered learning environment. Key Responsibilities Teach assigned Medical Assisting courses while modeling engaging, professional, student-centered instruction. Lead the planning, coordination, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the Medical Assisting program. Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and support to full-time and adjunct faculty. Monitor student attendance, academic performance, SAP, course progression, and other indicators to identify students who may need additional support. Develop and coordinate intervention strategies for at-risk students and work collaboratively with faculty and campus departments to improve retention, persistence, graduation, and certification outcomes. Provide academic advising and coaching to students regarding academic progress, attendance, professional expectations, graduation readiness, and career goals. Conduct regular faculty meetings focused on student success, retention, completion, academic concerns, policies, and program performance. Support faculty development through classroom observations, mentoring, training, and professional development. Maintain consistency in curriculum delivery, course syllabi, lesson plans, assessments, gradebooks, and instructional expectations. Develop class schedules that meet student and program needs. Maintain appropriate laboratory equipment, supplies, inventory, and a safe, professional learning environment. Maintain strong relationships with healthcare employers, externship partners, advisory board members, and other community partners. Partner with Career Services to support externship experiences, graduate employment, and industry relationships. Collaborate with Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Services, Career Services, and campus leadership to address barriers that may affect student success. Ensure the program remains compliant with institutional policies and applicable accreditation and regulatory requirements. Review program outcomes and develop action plans designed to continuously improve student and departmental performance. Qualifications We are looking for a leader who combines Medical Assisting industry experience, classroom experience, and a genuine commitment to student success. Minimum of an associate degree from a qualified institution. Minimum of three years of full-time experience in a healthcare facility , including at least one year of direct patient care experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting . Teaching experience ; prior postsecondary teaching experience is preferred. Current Medical Assistant registration or certification through a nationally recognized and accredited certifying agency. Documented expertise in Medical Assisting through education, credentials, certifications, and professional experience. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to coach and develop faculty while maintaining accountability and high instructional standards. Ability to advise and mentor diverse student populations and use student performance and retention data to develop appropriate interventions. Experience with curriculum development, academic administration, student retention, or program management is strongly preferred. Must be available to support both day and evening classes as program needs require

Pay:

$57,000.00 - $61,000.00 per year
