Job Description
Experienced Optometric Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator Eyes on Southern - Royal Palm Beach, FL Full-Time | Tuesday-Saturday Eyes on Southern is a growing boutique private optometry practice focused on personalized patient care, advanced technology, and exceptional customer service. As our practice continues to grow, we are looking to add an experienced Optometric Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator to our team. This is a hands-on, patient-facing position for someone who enjoys working with people and is comfortable assisting throughout different areas of an optometric practice.
Responsibilities include:
Greeting patients and providing an exceptional patient experience Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting with check-in and check-out Verifying vision and medical insurance benefits Performing basic optometric pretesting Teaching patients contact lens insertion and removal Assisting with contact lens patients and contact lens orders Supporting the doctor with patient flow and clinical needs Assisting with myopia-management patients and specialty contact lens care as needed Helping maintain an organized, welcoming office environment Assisting with additional front-office and patient-care responsibilities as neededRequired Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of prior experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, or optical practice Excellent communication and customer-service skills Professional, friendly, and polished demeanor Comfortable speaking with patients in person and over the phone Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Comfortable learning new technology and practice-management systems Fluent English required Please note: Prior eye-care experience is required for this position.What We Offer:
