Responsibilities Develop and execute risk management policies aligned with healthcare industry standards, including

HIPAA, CMS

regulations, JCAHO accreditation standards, and FDA regulations. Conduct thorough data analysis to identify potential risks related to clinical practices, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. Lead investigations into adverse events or compliance breaches, ensuring accurate documentation and appropriate corrective actions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement process improvements that reduce risk exposure and enhance quality assurance efforts. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare laws such as medical law, Medicare policies, ICD coding (ICD-9, ICD-10), CPT coding, and EMR/EHR management protocols. Oversee compliance management activities related to healthcare regulations, managed care contracts, and accreditation standards. Provide training and guidance on healthcare compliance policies to staff members at all levels to foster a culture of safety and accountability. Experience Proven experience in healthcare risk management or quality assurance within a clinical or hospital setting. Strong knowledge of health regulation policies including HIPAA privacy rules, CMS regulatory requirements, JCAHO standards, and FDA regulations. Demonstrated ability in project management with a focus on process improvement initiatives in healthcare environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and healthcare-specific software such as EMR/EHR systems for data analysis and reporting purposes. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, medical terminology, and electronic health records management is essential. Experience leading teams or managing cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing healthcare compliance and quality assurance. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets related to risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
