Chiropractic Assistant - Patient Care Coordinator 100% Chiropractic | St. Petersburg, FL Full-time |
On-site Salary:
$43,000-$50,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications Bonus eligibility after 90 days Patient relationships + office operations + hands-on patient support + care-plan conversations Overview Bring your energy, your people skills, and your drive to grow. You're great with people and equally motivated by getting things done. You enjoy a full, productive day, notice the details that matter, and take pride in being someone your team can count on. We're looking for someone who combines genuine warmth and strong communication with organization, initiative, confidence, and follow-through. You'll build relationships with patients, help keep a busy practice running smoothly, provide hands-on patient support, and help patients understand and move forward with important decisions about their care. We're Dr. Robert and Dr. Alivia, the owners and chiropractors behind 100% Chiropractic St. Petersburg. We built our practice from the ground up and know how much an exceptional team contributes to its success. We're intentional about who joins that team and are looking for someone who can become a person our patients, doctors, and teammates genuinely rely on. Previous healthcare or chiropractic experience is welcome, but it is not required. Strong transferable skills, people skills, ownership, and the ability to learn matter more to us than having one particular background. The Patient Experience Here Is Personal Our patients regularly mention our front desk team by name because they notice being greeted warmly, having things explained clearly, and knowing someone genuinely remembers them. Some bring us homemade sourdough, and our snowbirds have even arrived with cakes before heading north for the season. Patients regularly tell us they genuinely look forward to coming in. In this role, you aren't working behind the scenes of that experience. You are a major part of it.
What You'll Do:
Build strong patient relationships Welcome patients by name and help create an experience that feels personal, organized, and genuinely welcoming. You'll provide office tours, conduct health history intakes, learn to communicate our approach to care clearly, and get to know what matters to each patient. We want people to feel listened to, comfortable, informed, and remembered. Take ownership of the details that keep the practice moving Manage scheduling, patient communication, missed-appointment follow-up, calls, voicemails, insurance verification, patient accounts, data entry, deposits, reporting, documentation, and record-keeping. Success here means more than completing the task directly in front of you. We value someone who notices what needs attention, thinks ahead, follows things through without constant reminders, catches missing details, and recognizes opportunities to improve how things work. If you see a useful way to make something better, we encourage you to speak up. Help patients make confident decisions about their care Present care plans, explain costs and payment options, and help patients work through concerns that may be keeping them from moving forward with recommended care. We're looking for someone who combines empathy with confidence: listens for the real concern, asks thoughtful questions, reconnects patients to their goals, explores realistic solutions, and is comfortable discussing value. We don't want someone who immediately retreats when a patient has concerns. Helping patients understand their options and confidently move forward with recommended care gives them the best opportunity to achieve the results they came to us for. Provide hands-on patient support This is more than a front-desk position. You'll help coordinate patient flow, teach exercises and home-care instructions, assist patients with spinal decompression, administer shockwave therapy after training and under doctor direction, and support patients throughout their care. Your day will include a real mix of conversation, organization, problem-solving, administrative responsibilities, and hands-on patient interaction.
You'll Thrive Here If You:
Connect naturally with people. You're warm, attentive, articulate, and genuinely enjoy making others feel comfortable. Take ownership. You notice what needs attention, follow things through, and look for solutions rather than waiting for direction. Are highly organized and dependable. You can manage multiple priorities without losing track of important details. Can be empathetic without becoming passive. You listen well while still being comfortable discussing money, working through concerns, and helping people make decisions. Like a fast, productive environment. You can shift between patients, scheduling, administrative work, and hands-on responsibilities without losing focus. Want to become excellent at what you do. You ask questions, apply feedback, learn quickly, and want increasing responsibility rather than simply learning enough to get by. Bring useful ideas. Once you understand the practice, you naturally start thinking about how things could work better. Care about results. Patient follow-through, accurate work, healthy schedules, strong systems, practice growth, and the success of the whole team matter to you. Bring consistent effort and want to grow. We invest significantly in training and are looking for someone who wants a lasting opportunity, not simply a short stop between other plans. The Kind of Healthcare We Believe In We believe patients deserve more than a rushed, transactional healthcare experience. We take time to understand their concerns, explain what we're seeing, connect recommendations to the things they want to get back to doing, and help them work toward meaningful, lasting improvement. Previous chiropractic experience is not required. What matters is that you enjoy helping people and are excited by an approach centered on education, patient participation, and long-term progress. The Team You'll Be Joining We care deeply about the people who work with us. We provide hands-on training, ongoing coaching, clear expectations, and direct feedback, and we genuinely listen when team members bring us useful ideas. We work hard and celebrate wins together, whether that means a team dinner after reaching a practice goal or decorating gingerbread houses during the holidays. As you grow, strong performance may lead to greater ownership of systems and projects, mentoring teammates, contributing to practice improvements, and potentially developing into a senior or lead role depending on performance and practice needs. Required Ability to consistently work the full in-person schedule listed below Strong verbal and written communication Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail Professional, positive presence with patients and teammates Comfort discussing costs, payment options, and care decisions Ability and willingness to learn hands-on patient-support responsibilities Willingness to receive feedback, learn, and continue developing in the role Experience That May Translate Well Healthcare experience is not required.
