Job Description

Summary:
The Director of Client Programs' primary role is to oversee the assistance, case management, and counseling programs at Caring and Sharing of South Walton in accordance with our organizational policies and core values. The Director of Client Programs will supervise and support all case management staff and interns working directly with client programming. The Director of Client Programs will also work directly with clients to provide case management and counseling services, as needed to support the needs of the team and organization. The Director of Client Programs is expected to model, encourage, and inspire all team members and volunteers to embrace the Caring & Sharing Core Values. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Leadership and Supervision Train, onboard, and supervise the case management and counseling team, including interns. Hold regular meetings with the team to discuss client cases, address concerns, and ensure alignment with best practices. Conduct annual staff performance evaluations, mid-year check-ins, and provide ongoing feedback. Oversee staff adherence to organizational policies and the best practices in client privacy, case management, and counseling. Coordinate training and professional development opportunities to enhance staff skills, including addressing burnout and compassion fatigue. Client Services and Case Management Provide direct counseling and case management to clients in need, including assessments, goal setting, referrals, and crisis counseling. Assist clients in applying for benefits, housing, document replacement, budgeting, and Social Security programs. Utilize the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) to track services and collaborate on coordinated entry for clients at risk of homelessness. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of client services, ensuring they align with both organizational goals and community needs. Collaboration and Policy Development Collaborate with the Program Committee to review and improve service delivery through policy and procedural updates. Cultivate relationships with clients, staff, volunteers, and community partners to ensure the effectiveness and compassion of the program. Uphold and promote ethical standards and boundaries in client care, adhering to the National Social Workers' Code of Ethics and ensuring staff compliance with these standards. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of internal resources, services, and external agencies to effectively meet the diverse needs of individuals and families in crisis. Accurately document services provided using HMIS, case management forms, and other tracking systems to meet grant and reporting requirements. Strategic Planning and Organizational Development Participate in long-term planning efforts and strategic goals with the Board of Directors, including attending the Board's Annual Planning Meeting and follow-up discussions. Collaborate with other local organizations to reduce homelessness through case management, referrals, and training. Address unmet client needs and work with the team to adjust programs or priorities as needed to better serve the community. Research and help facilitate grant opportunities that support the sustainability of our assistance programs. Other Duties Perform additional duties related to client assistance as assigned. Qualifications Experience in social services, including case management systems, planning techniques, and motivational interviewing. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with at least one year of counseling experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (or similar programs); experience with HMIS is preferred. Previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred. Bilingual abilities are a plus. Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a Level 2 Background Check. Strong strategic thinking and collaboration skills to plan for the organization's future needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in counseling and case management, a passion for serving vulnerable populations, and the ability to model ethical practices while advocating for individuals and families in Walton County. Working Environment This position requires working in both indoor and outdoor environments, as the organization operates a food pantry, warehouse, and retail shop. Tasks may be performed in various weather conditions. Physical Requirements The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, pushing, and grasping. The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 25 pounds may be required. This job description is intended to outline the general duties and responsibilities of this position. From $60,000.00 per year
