Patient Care Coordinator - General Angels Home Care Agency West Park, FL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $18 - $25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Medical office experience HIPAA English Medical scheduling Medical administrative support Full Job Description We are seeking a reliable, organized, and professional Patient Care Coordinator to join our home health agency office team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and customer service skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position involves communicating with patients, caregivers, physicians' offices, insurance companies, and clinical staff while helping coordinate patient care and maintain accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer and manage incoming phone calls professionally Assist with new patient intake and referral processing Coordinate patient services, appointments, and follow-ups Communicate with physicians' offices, patients, caregivers, and clinical staff Obtain and organize medical records, orders, and other required documentation Enter and update patient information in electronic medical record systems Assist with insurance verification and authorization follow-up Maintain accurate and confidential patient records Perform general administrative and office duties as needed
Qualifications:
Previous medical office, home health, or healthcare experience preferred Strong verbal and written English communication skills Spanish-speaking ability is a plus Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems preferred Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements Dependable, detail-oriented, and professional Home health experience is strongly preferred.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
