We are a solo practitioner practice, concentrating on highly individualized and professional care for our patients. Excellent opportunity to grow with the practice and possible long-term position with growth. Ideal candidate must be able to work well in a team environment, as well as work independently. They must be extremely organized and have excellent follow through and an outstanding professional etiquette and takes greats pleasure in building customer relationships and ensuring that all customers receive a 5-star experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are required. Must be reliable and punctual, have great attention to detail, have excellent time management skill with ability to multitask and prioritize. The position performs several job duties including but not limited to: Room the patient from the lobby to the exam room, maintaining office flow to ensure on time appointments. Take a preliminary H&P for all patients during consultation. Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary. Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; keeping patient information confidential. Counsels patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions about surgery. Schedules post-operative appointments, verifying times with patients; preparing charts, pre-admission and consent forms. Following up with medical offices on required labs, medical clearances, diagnostic tests, to ensure patient is cleared for surgery. Assisting with post-operative medical treatments. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. Trouble shoot any problems that may arise with any of the patients. Capable of filling in for front desk when needed and maintaining the cleanliness of the office. Minimum 2 years of medical assistant experience required; previous experience as a medical assistant in the plastic surgery, dermatology, or med spa field is preferred. Medical Assistant Certification, BLS Certification, HIPAA & OSHA Compliance Certification preferred. Experience with Tebra/Kareo EMR and Mac proficient preferred.
