Job description Podiatry Office seeking Front Office Receptionist 1. Greeting patients visiting the office, answering any questions they may have and helping them fill out the required forms. 2. Answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, directing the calls as required and handling all queries. 3. Verify patient information; medical history, purpose of visit. 4. Informing the Doctor and/or Nurse about impending appointments. 5. Acquire and enter demographic and insurance information into computer practice management system. 6. Perform check out duties including collection of copay and patient balances. 7. Balance cash drawer at the end of the day. 8. Arrange referrals to additional doctors as necessary. 9. Maintaining a filing system for all patient documents and reports submitted. 10. Manage multiple front office tasks. Be flexible and proactive as clinic demands shift on a regular basis.
Experience:
- One Year of Front Desk Experience
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
