• Job Summary
• The Supervisor, Patient Access is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the admissions department, ensuring efficient patient intake and registration functions of the facility.

• Essential Functions
• + Supervises and manages admissions and registration operations and staff, ensuring adherence to department policies, procedures, and performance standards.

+ Provides training, coaching, and professional development opportunities to enhance staff skills and knowledge. + Oversees the patient intake and registration process, ensuring accurate and timely collection of required information. + Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and best practices for patient data handling. + Facilitates effective communication between the patient access department and clinical teams to ensure a smooth patient flow. + Addresses patient concerns and complaints in a professional manner, working toward resolution in a timely fashion. + Monitors and enforces quality assurance programs, identifying and implementing process improvements as needed. + Oversees insurance verification and financial clearance processes, referring uninsured or underinsured patients to financial counselors. + Works with leadership to develop and maintain staffing schedules that ensure adequate department coverage. + Collects co-payments and ensures proper documentation of financial transactions related to patient admissions. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Maintains regular and reliable attendance. + Complies with all policies and standards.

• + Ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies. + May participate in audits, inspections and accreditation processes as applicable. + Follows established quality control practices to ensure accuracy, consistency and safety. +
• Collaboration and Communication
• + Works closely with leadership teams to coordinate and improve service delivery. + Stays up-to-date with industry advancements, new technologies, and regulatory changes. +
• Staff Responsibilities
• + May work in a staff role, when required. Ensures that duties and responsibilities are fulfilled while meeting all competencies established for that job.
• Qualifications
• + Associate Degree or higher preferred + 1-2 years of related experience in healthcare profession required + 1-2 years of previous leadership experience preferred
