CENTER ADMINISTRATION SCHEDULE
Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 8:00-4:30
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assume responsibility, accountability, and acts as a resource for Pearlman Comprehensive Cancer Center for Reimbursement issues. Works in close association with South Georgia Medical Center Business Office personnel to ensure accuracy and timeliness of patient account information. Contributes to the success of the department through effective work coordination, management of resources and participation in goal accomplishments. Supports and communicates SGMC mission, values and goals. Provides education to the staff for appropriate charting to provide reimbursement for treatment and services at Pearlman Comprehensive Cancer Center. Requires the ability to work with the physicians of Pearlman Comprehensive Cancer Center to assist in reimbursement for their billing through South Georgia Medical Center.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
College degree preferred. Successful completion of formal or informal courses of study in the areas of Medicare / Medicaid compliance and coding preferred. Must have advanced skills in Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office Suite applications. Must be able to use printer, copier and fax. Requires successful demonstration of required knowledge, skills and ability through previous formal or informal leadership responsibilities. Requires flexibility in work schedule for accountability expectations for operation and process management in a customer/patient focused business. Become familiar with both Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology in regard to the supplies, treatment and procedures.
