Job Description

WinnMed is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to join our team supporting the clinic operations at the Ossian, IA Clinic! As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC), you will have an important role in supporting daily clinic operations and ensuring an exceptional experience for our patients. Working closely with providers, nurses, and other healthcare team members, you will perform a variety of clerical, electronic, clinical support, and customer service responsibilities that contribute to efficient, high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
Welcome and room patientsObtain and document vital signsPerform blood draws (on the job training provided)Help maintain the accuracy and flow of patient information, including medical records, test results, and other healthcare documentation. Serve as a key communication resource by answering phones, coordinating verbal and written communication, and facilitating information exchange among patients, families, providers, and care team members. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to providing outstanding service while supporting a collaborative healthcare environment.
Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE), Monday•Friday8•hour day shifts, 5 days per weekLocated at the Ossian, IA Clinic.
Hours are:
7:00 a.m.•4:00 p.m., Monday•Friday.
