EVS Manager / Director of Environmental Services Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and experienced EVS Supervisor to oversee daily environmental services operations and ensure a clean, safe, sanitary, and well-maintained environment. The EVS Supervisor will lead and support EVS staff, monitor quality and productivity, ensure proper cleaning procedures are followed, and help maintain compliance with applicable health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, and support EVS staff during assigned shifts. Assign daily tasks, routes, and responsibilities to team members. Inspect patient/resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, offices, and other assigned areas for cleanliness and sanitation. Ensure cleaning and disinfecting procedures are completed according to established standards. Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, performance, and productivity. Provide coaching and corrective feedback when necessary. Ensure proper use, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Maintain adequate supplies and communicate inventory needs to management. Respond promptly to cleaning requests, spills, emergencies, and other environmental service needs. Ensure EVS staff follow infection prevention, workplace safety, and facility policies. Complete inspections, checklists, reports, and other required documentation. Assist with scheduling and staffing coverage as needed. Work closely with nursing, administration, maintenance, and other departments to address environmental concerns. Promote a professional, respectful, and customer-service-focused work environment. Perform cleaning duties and assist the EVS team when staffing needs require. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous environmental services, housekeeping, custodial, or healthcare cleaning experience required. Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to train and motivate employees. Knowledge of proper cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitation procedures. Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and handle cleaning chemicals. Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift as required to perform the job. Must be dependable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Preferred Experience Experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, senior living community, rehabilitation center, hotel, or other healthcare environment is preferred. Schedule Full-time position. Schedule may include weekends, holidays, evenings, or rotating shifts based on facility needs.
