Job Description

Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute is a single specialty orthopedic hospital. We are physician owned and have been serving the Kansas City area for 25 years. Join a team dedicated to delivering exceptional outcomes and outstanding patient experience! We're seeking an experienced Billing Manager to join our Revenue Cycle Management team. This is a full-time, exempt position, Mondays-Fridays from 8am-5pm and works under the direction of the Director of Finance. The Hospital Billing Manager will ensure prompt and accurate collections of hospital accounts receivable. Manage and supervise the accounts receivable team members. Work to continually improve the A/R processes and ability to perform most of the A/R functions.
Essential Responsibilities:
Supervise the Hospital Accounts Receivable Representatives. This includes timekeeping and time off requests, review and sign-off on payroll Keep the Director of Finance updated on staffing accomplishments, concerns etc. Train new employees on software and essential duties of the job so that they can be successful. Together with the Director of Finance, maintain and enhance the CPSI and RCM procedures and workflows. Assist in expanding the documentation and training materials available for new hires and current staff Work with the Director of Finance to review the A/R metrics, projects and workflow needed for the upcoming week. Assist in maintaining online and/or manual handbooks containing most recent contract rates for utilization by team members. Participate in Weekly call with Director of Business Office and Director of Finance Hire and interview any new Accounts Receivable Representatives. Daily, weekly and monthly reporting responsibilities Assist staff with resolving difficult accounts. Attend meetings as requested/necessary.
Qualifications/Experience:
