This role combines front desk responsibilities with patient engagement, ensuring a seamless experience for patients. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression while managing check-in and check-out procedures efficiently. Schedule appointments while coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily workflows. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process payments accurately utilizing medical billing and collection procedures. Work within referring physicians to schedule appointments and coordinate medical records and referral requests. Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical history, updating demographic information, obtaining authorizations as necessary, and explaining clinic policies clearly. Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, practicing excellent phone etiquette while directing calls or taking messages promptly. Support clinical staff by managing medical scheduling, appointment confirmations, and follow-up reminders to enhance patient care plans. Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with strong clerical and administrative skills. Familiarity with EMR/EHR system ModMed is highly preferred. Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and perform collections in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide outstanding patient service. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc) and health information management software. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks. Prior dermatology clinic experience is highly desirable . Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
