Back Maintenance Technician @ ASH Industries Position Summary The Facility Maintenance Employee is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and proper functioning of facilities, equipment, and machinery within the injection molding and rotational molding company. This includes conducting regular inspections, performing repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance procedures to optimize production and ensure a safe work environment. The employee will follow the provided preventative maintenance instructions to maintain key process equipment and systems, as well as record maintenance activities in the equipment maintenance records. Quality and Regulatory Follow procedures as assigned Conduct routine visual inspections of facilities, equipment, and machinery to identify maintenance needs and potential issues, as outlined in the preventative maintenance plan. Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on buildings, equipment, and machinery, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, following the preventative maintenance procedures provided. Follow the standard preventative maintenance plan for each key machine or system, which includes checking oil levels, greasing components according to manufacturer's recommendations, and noting any visual signs of abnormal wear on a monthly basis. Maintain accurate records of all preventative maintenance activities performed, including the date and time of the maintenance, the name of the individual who performed it, a description of the tasks completed, and any replaced parts or supplies used. Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to prioritize maintenance tasks and address urgent repair needs, including unscheduled equipment repairs. Use the Equipment Repair Request Form and record all unscheduled equipment repairs in the specific equipment maintenance records, based on the Equipment Maintenance Log template. Monitor equipment performance, including wear, performance, vibrations, etc., as instructed, and report any abnormalities to supervisors and department managers. Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations during maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
Work Experience Proficiency in industrial electrical work, including knowledge of PLC, high voltage, 3-phase systems, VFD motors and controllers, transformers, motors, and installation of new wiring. Mechanical experience, including familiarity with hydraulics, vacuum systems, and air compressors. Plumbing skills, including facility plumbing and process water temperature control units. Knowledge of HVAC systems, including essential maintenance and upkeep of air conditioning and burner units. Experience in fabrication tasks such as welding, grinding, manual lathe operation, and manual mill operation. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and department managers. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to follow preventative maintenance plans, record maintenance activities accurately, and maintain equipment maintenance records.
