We work directly with insurance adjusters, nurse case managers, employers, injured workers, medical providers, and vendors to coordinate the services injured workers need throughout their recovery. We are currently looking for a dependable, organized, and customer-focused DME & Home Health Coordinator to join our team. This position will primarily be responsible for coordinating Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Home Health services for workers' compensation patients. This is a fast-paced position that requires strong communication, attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple active referrals at the same time. Communicate directly with vendors, patients, adjusters, nurse case managers, and medical offices throughout the process. Follow up on outstanding orders until the equipment has been successfully delivered or the request has been completed. Troubleshoot issues involving availability, delivery delays, incorrect equipment, repairs, authorization, or patient concerns. Home Health Coordination Process referrals for home health services including RN, LPN, CNA, home health aide, skilled nursing, wound care, PT, OT, and other in-home services . Review physician orders and referral information to determine the services being requested. Locate qualified home health agencies or healthcare professionals near the injured worker. Confirm that authorized services are being provided as ordered. Follow up regularly with providers regarding staffing, scheduling, missed visits, changes in care, or other issues. Immediately communicate significant service issues to the appropriate adjuster, nurse case manager, or client. Help resolve staffing issues and locate replacement providers when necessary. Case Management & Customer Service Responsibilities A major part of this position is follow-through . At Avail Comp Solutions, we do not simply send a referral to a provider and wait for something to happen. The coordinator will be expected to: Maintain consistent follow-up on every active order. Provide timely status updates to our clients. Enter detailed and accurate notes into our internal system. Document phone calls, emails, authorizations, pricing, appointments, deliveries, and important developments. Respond promptly to emails and phone calls. Identify problems before they become larger customer-service issues. Escalate delays or concerns when additional assistance is needed. Treat injured workers, providers, adjusters, and nurse case managers with professionalism and respect. Take ownership of referrals from the time they are received until the service is successfully completed. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable working independently, and understands that excellent customer service comes from communication and consistent follow-up. Preferred Qualifications Experience with DME, home health, healthcare coordination, workers' compensation, medical case management, insurance, medical offices, or healthcare staffing is strongly preferred. Experience communicating with insurance adjusters, nurse case managers, physicians, medical facilities, or healthcare providers is a plus. Strong phone and email communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage a high volume of active referrals and competing priorities. Strong attention to detail and documentation. Comfortable negotiating rates and communicating with vendors. Ability to problem-solve and find alternative providers when the first option is unavailable. Comfortable working with computer-based order management systems, email, and Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently while also communicating effectively with the Avail Comp Solutions team. Keeps detailed notes and stays organized. Is comfortable picking up the phone and calling providers. Can handle multiple cases without losing track of details.
