Busy independent practice partaking in primary as well as specialty care for all ages seeks a referral specialist. This role primarily involves arranging referrals and appointments for primary care patients to specialists per the clinician's orders, but also involves some crossover with ensuring referrals/authorizations are in place for patients we see as specialists, as well. You may also help facilitate placing orders (such as MRIs, CT scans) and help facilitate scheduling these with the patients. Ideal candidates will have some prior experience with medical referrals as well as familiarity with medical billing/coding. We are hoping to find a team member who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is self-motivated but enjoys working with other team members as well as patients, has strong communication and documentation skills, is proactive and reliable. Spanish-speaking would be a plus but is certainly not required.

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
