Job Description
Office Manager / Patient Services Coordinator Norwood-Needham Physical Therapy is looking for an experienced, dependable, and personable Office Manager / Patient Services Coordinator to join our busy outpatient physical therapy practice. This is an important role in our practice and an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with patients, coordinating the day-to-day front office, and being part of a close-knit team. Position Responsibilities Greet patients and provide a welcoming, professional experience Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility Obtain and manage insurance authorizations for physical therapy Communicate with insurance companies regarding authorizations and patient coverage Maintain accurate patient information and documentation Coordinate patient schedules and assist therapists with administrative needs Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls and correspondence Collect patient copays and other payments Assist with general office organization and day-to-day operations Work closely with the clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience Provide excellent customer service to patients and referring physicians This position does not involve medical billing. What We're Looking For Previous experience in a medical office, physical therapy practice, physician's office, or similar healthcare setting preferred Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations strongly preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable working independently while also being part of a team Professional, friendly, and dependable personality Ability to multitask in a busy outpatient environment Experience with electronic medical records is a plus About Our Practice Norwood-Needham Physical Therapy is an established outpatient orthopedic physical therapy practice serving the local community.
