We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Assistant and Patient Services Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent clinical care, customer service, and administrative support in a concierge medical office setting. This is a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional patient care.Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members
- Obtain vital signs
- Perform EKGs and phlebotomy
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records systems (EPIC)
- Assist with arranging specialist appointments for patients
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up on patient appointments
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Provide general administrative support to the healthcare team
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical administration is a plus
- Previous experience working as a medical assistant or receptionist or in a medical/dental office setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems (EPIC)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals in a courteous and professional manner
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
