Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Front Office & Patient Services Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines exceptional administrative support with compassionate patient engagement, ensuring a seamless experience for all visitors and patients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong communication skills, and possess a comprehensive understanding of medical office operations, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and health insurance processes. Your energetic approach will help foster a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining the highest standards of clinical confidentiality and documentation accuracy. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through check-in procedures Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Verify patient insurance coverage, process payments, and handle medical collections efficiently Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality policies Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, including care plans, CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes, ICD-9/10 codes, and billing information Assist with medical billing processes, including coding (ICD coding), Medicare claims, and follow-up on outstanding balances Support clinical staff by coordinating patient flow, managing phone communication with professionalism and clarity, and handling clerical tasks such as filing and 10-key typing Experience Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is required Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth is essential Strong knowledge of health insurance procedures, including Medicare billing and health information management Familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), documentation review, and medical billing practices Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic record management tools Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Demonstrated ability to handle patient service inquiries with professionalism while adhering to clinical confidentiality policies Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding healthcare experiences. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
