The Center operates five programs:
a soup kitchen, food pantry and diaper bank, day program for the homeless, resource center and free clinic, and immigrant integration program. The Center serves more than 1,000 clients each week. The Center just moved into a new facility: be part of this growing team and help expand operations! Job Description This is a new position created to support the Center's expanded health services. We are a busy community center and this is a dynamic, hands-on job managing a growing program. We are looking for someone with strong critical thinking and organizational skills with a focus on high-quality service provision. We need someone who has experience and can jump right in! This is a part-time position averaging about 11 hours per week. The Coordinator must be on site Wednesday mornings from 8:00-12:00 while patients are being seen. Responsibilities Support medical providers, such as receiving and registering patients, managing charts, faxing paperwork, and making follow-up calls Screen and onboard medical providers, including required paperwork; review of policies, procedures, and expectations; and training on operations Schedule patients and providers Manage connections to other resources, such as patient assistance applications to pharmaceutical companies Compile and report out on health services data Work with staff and partner agencies to identify and offer needed mental health and substance misuse services on site Perform other duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines . Excellent critical thinking skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Education and Experience:
Required education: High school diploma Preferred experience: 1 year of experience in a health-related field Preferred experience: 1 year of customer service experiencePay:
