This role oversees nursing staff, coordinates resident care plans, monitors clinical quality, and ensures regulatory compliance. The Unit Manager partners with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, supports families, manages staffing and scheduling, and promotes a resident-centered culture focused on dignity, safety, and outcomes. Ideal candidates bring strong clinical judgment, leadership skills, and a passion for mentoring staff in a fast-paced, 24/7 care environment with growth opportunities. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day clinical operations for an assigned nursing unit Supervise, coach, and schedule nursing staff to ensure safe staffing levels Develop, implement, and update individualized resident care plans Monitor clinical quality, documentation, and adherence to care standards Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations and policies Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members on resident care Communicate with residents and families regarding care, changes, and concerns Oversee infection control, safety, and risk management practices on the unit Support staff training, orientation, and performance evaluations Participate in surveys, audits, and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Clinical care coordination Staff supervision Care planning and documentation Regulatory compliance (state/federal/Medicare) Infection control practices Patient and family communication Electronic health records (EHR) systems Performance management and coaching Incident reporting and risk management Interdisciplinary team collaboration
