Experienced Dental Patient Care Coordinator / Dental Front Desk Shelby Charter Township, MI | Full-Time | 28-34 Hours/Week | No Evenings or Weekends A Great Opportunity for an Experienced Dental Front-Office Professional Our established, family-focused dental practice in Shelby Charter Township is seeking an experienced Dental Patient Care Coordinator / Front Desk professional to join our five-person administrative team. Dental office experience is required. Please apply only if you have previous dental front-office experience. We are a long-established practice with an experienced team and a strong commitment to exceptional patient service, personalized care, and quality—not high-volume dentistry. We are looking for a dependable, organized professional who can work independently, multitask, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Schedule & Compensation Full-time:
Approximately 28-34 hours per week
Monday-Thursday:
3½-day workweek No evenings or weekends
Pay:
$23-$29/hour Strong dental insurance knowledge and proven multitasking abilities will be considered when determining compensation.

8:30 AM-5:45
PM Tuesday:
8:00 AM-6:30
PM Wednesday:
7:00 AM-2:00
PM Thursday:
8:00 AM-5:45 PM Office and patient hours fall within the schedule above . Start times are approximately 30 minutes before the first patient, and end times are approximately 30-45 minutes after the last patient. Benefits 401(k) Paid time off in accordance with state requirements Dental benefits Continuing education opportunities Option to obtain health insurance through the office at the employee's own cost Qualifications 2+ years of dental front-office, dental reception, or patient coordination experience Strong knowledge of dental insurance and insurance verification Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong computer skills, including PC, Chrome, Excel/data entry, scanning, printing, and practice-management software Responsibilities Greet and check patients in and out Answer phones and assist patients with questions Schedule new patient, recare, and treatment appointments Coordinate treatment plans and follow up with patients Verify and research dental insurance benefits Collect payments and update patient information Coordinate with the clinical team to maintain smooth patient flow Handle scanning, printing, filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks Maintain accurate records and patient confidentiality Assist with other front-office responsibilities as needed Our front-office team is cross-trained, so flexibility and the ability to shift between responsibilities are important. Our team includes one full-time doctor, three full-time hygienists, three dental assistants, one hygiene assistant, and five administrative team members. We are busy, but our focus is on quality care and exceptional patient service rather than high-volume dentistry.
