Womens Unit Coordinator

Job Description

Position Summary Project Turnabout is seeking a Unit Coordinator to oversee daily clinical operations within a residential chemical dependency treatment unit. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, effective staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and continuous program improvement within a multidisciplinary treatment environment.
Salary:
$70,000+, based on experience. Key Responsibilities Program Oversight & Patient Care Participate in evaluation staffing's and patient interventions as needed Coordinate patient transfers between units and levels of care Meet with new admissions and provide unit orientation Review patient charts and documentation prior to closure Attend treatment groups and educational sessions to monitor program quality Develop and maintain weekly unit schedules Present educational programming to patients Respond promptly to patient and staff concerns or suggestions Provide group and individual counseling coverage as needed; may carry a limited caseload Complete required electronic clinical documentation Residential, Family & Continuing Care Coordination Collaborate with clinical staff to evaluate and improve treatment programming Participate in family and educational program planning and delivery Communicate and coordinate with outpatient and continuing care staff Maintain awareness of and respond to community recovery resources (AA, NA, 12-Step programs) Staff Supervision & Leadership Participate in hiring and onboarding of clinical staff when requested Provide annual performance evaluations for supervised staff Conduct regular supervisory meetings and meet weekly with the Manager of Residential Treatment Develop and deliver training for clinical staff Interview and assign counselor trainees Administrative & Community Responsibilities Maintain ongoing communication with the Manager of Residential Treatment and Executive Director Respond immediately to crises and follow escalation protocols Maintain professional relationships with referral sources, community agencies, and insurance providers Travel to other sites to supervise outpatient services as needed (valid driving record required) Maintain current licensure and certifications and notify administration of any changes Contribute written content to organizational newsletters when requested Qualifications & RequirementsRequired Must be 21 years of age or older Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or equivalent under MN Department of Health Ability to pass MN Department of Human Services criminal background check Documented minimum of two years free from chemical or gambling use problems Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in a human services field Preferred Master's degree in a related field qualifying the candidate to provide case management services Prior supervisory or leadership experience in residential or chemical dependency treatment Physical Requirements Ability to sit 80-90% of the workday (counseling and computer documentation) Ability to observe and hear patients and work at a computer terminal Minimal lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching Some walking or standing ( 5-10% of workday)
