Arthur Center is looking for an adaptable, patient-centered Float Support Specialist to provide call center and front desk coverage across all three of our clinic locations. In this role, you will serve as an operational resource, stepping in where coverage is needed, keeping calls, scheduling, check-in, check-out, and administrative functions running smoothly, and delivering consistent, high-quality service to every patient regardless of which location you are supporting that day. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FLOAT COVERAGE AND OPERATIONAL FLEXIBILITY
Provide front desk and call center coverage at any of Arthur Center's three clinic locations: Mexico, Montgomery City, and Fulton as needed to maintain continuity of services. Ensure calls, scheduling, check-in, check-in, check-out, and other administrative functions are handled accurately and in a timely manner across all assigned locations. Adapt quickly to the workflows, staffing needs, and operational priorities of each location. Support the organization's ability to respond effectively to fluctuating staffing needs while maintaining consistent service quality for every patient.
PATIENT ACCESS AND SCHEDULING
Schedule patient appointments across all service lines including primary care, behavioral health, dental, CPRC adult and youth services, and residential programs. Make appointment reminder calls and communicate amounts owed and co-payments due on upcoming visits. Answer patient questions and phone calls regarding services and providers across all organization service areas. Orient patients to facility services, rights, grievance procedures, and crisis intervention resources.
REGISTRATION AND DEMOGRAPHICS
Gather and accurately enter patient financial and demographic data in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Maintain accuracy in patient account information, payer details, and demographic records across all locations. Understand requirements of all payer types including self-pay, sliding fee, private insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND CLINICAL SUPPORT
Task patient requests in the EMR to the appropriate staff for timely response. Assist with medication refill requests and other clinical administrative needs in accordance with established workflows. Maintain proficiency with office equipment including phones, scanners, copiers, and credit card machines. Communicate accurately with staff involved in treatment or billing to support an integrated approach to care. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations at all times. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Adaptable and flexible Able to move between locations and roles while maintaining consistent performance and a positive attitude. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with proficient telephone etiquette. Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy in data entry, scheduling, and patient communication. Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-moving, interruptive environment. Proficient with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and standard office technology. Broad understanding of patient access workflows across multiple service lines. Committed to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one year of experience in a general office setting required. Experience in a healthcare setting and familiarity with electronic health records preferred. Experience in call center, front desk, or patient access roles preferred. Must be able to travel between clinic locations as needed.
