Responsible for providing back-up to the Manager of Radiation Oncology for the daily operations of the business office functions of the physician practice. Also responsible for the timely and accurate recording of patient demographics, insurance information, patient charges and collections and scheduling patient appointments in a timely and accurate manner. Cross-training required in multiple administrative support functions. Oversee clerical functions and administrative activities at the front desk. Manage front-desk clerical functions, including administrative support and coordination. Oversee daily front-desk clerical operations to ensure efficient administrative support. Coordinate and oversee front-desk clerical functions while providing excellent service to patients, visitors, and staff. Prefer two years in a lead or leadership role. coding processes. Requires excellent verbal communication skills. Must be able to work with changing priorities. Requires excellent organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills. What You'll Do:
Patient Registration & Scheduling Accurately record and maintain patient demographic, insurance, and financial information in the electronic medical record (EMR). Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments to optimize provider schedules and clinic workflow. Perform patient check-in and check-out processes, including updating records and verifying insurance coverage. Financial & Insurance Support Verify insurance eligibility, authorizations, and referrals as required. Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances according to organizational policy Customer Service & Communication Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors. Address patient inquiries and concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate. Collaborate with clinical and administrative team members to support coordinated patient care. Operational Support Cross-train in multiple administrative support functions to ensure clinic coverage and continuity of operations. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational privacy and security standards. Participate in team meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives
