HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT - MANAGER JOB SUMMARY
Due to the nature of the job, a high degree of confidentiality and ethics is required
Serves as a Department head
Participates in the daily room rounding program as assigned by the Administrator
Serves as Manager on Duty (MOD) based on Department Head rotation schedule, as assigned by Administrator
Attends all necessary meetings deemed appropriate by Administrator, including stand-up, weekly Medicare and monthly/quarterly QA.
Assigns
ICD-10-CM
coding upon new admissions, re-admissions and interim resident stay; entering accurate codes into the facility's EHR system timely following acknowledgment.
Processes system Diagnosis Request, assigning
ICD-10-CM
codes based on Provider's signed documentation.
Maintains Medicare certifications, sending a monthly report to the
LHRS HIM
Director Communicates with outside agencies for collection of necessary documentation, including documentation that requires signature.
